The winners of the Friends Spring Raffle were chosen by a willing and unbiased library volunteer, Geri Englehart, and several enthusiastic Friends board members who showed up to witness the name drawings for three prizes. All three winners have been contacted and will be dropping by the library this week to pick up their prizes.

Fun fact: All winners increased their chances of winning by purchasing multiple entries.

First Place Winner: The Family Fun Basket goes to SuZanne Beard!

Fun fact: SuZanne Beard recently retired from the library and joined the Friends as a member soon after.

Second Place Winner: The 2-day Getaway at D6 Retreat goes to Natalie Galletti!

Why the FRIENDS exist

The highlight of every Annual Meeting is the presentation of the FRIENDS gift to the library. It is the endpoint of a year’s worth of planning and hard work, and validates the primary reason the FRIENDS exist, to support the library financially, and reinforce and enhance its value to the community. While our contribution is relatively small compared to the library’s overall budget, the payoff is huge, providing marginal funds to supplement programming needs, equipment purchases and anything else which falls outside the normal budgeting process. Our annual gift allows for innovation, new ideas, and cutting edge programs which would not otherwise be funded. The Board thanks each and every contributor, from the smallest membership to the largest event sponsor, for sharing our commitment to ensure the library’s robust, vibrant role in the community.
