Friends show their support by giving their time, energy, and financial support to something they believe in — the Dripping Springs Community Library.

  • Fundraising provides money for additional resources that may not be in the budget
  • Volunteers help expand library services
  • An active Friends group demonstrates the value library provides to the community
  • Friends increase awareness of the library in the local area

Donations to the Friends of the Library are used to fund popular library programs and purchase essential equipment for adults and children to use.

These programs transform the library into a vibrant world of art, music and science!

In 2025 the Friends donated $30,000 to the library, thanks to generous community members like yourself.

The library used these funds wisely to the greatest benefit to the community, for example:

  • $13,000 for Summer Programming including the purchase of 10 ukuleles, Professor of Universe, Wildlife on the Move, and more…
  • Viewsonic large screen teleconferencing system
  • Podcasting equipment for library patrons to checkout
  • Summer Reading and 1000 Books Before Kindergarten prizes
  • Community Wildflower Center passes for patrons
  • Upgrade outdoor play space with new chairs and sensory tables.

This season over 2,000 community members participated in library programs funded by the Friends.

You can join us on our mission to support the library: Become a Friend! 😀
