Pouring Over Books
Pouring Over Books, along with the accompanying Wine Divas Wine Tasting, is our premier annual event.
Each year, library supporters enjoy an evening with a local author and a complementary selection of fine wines and premium teas chosen by our Wine Tasting Divas, along with delicious light bites. This fundraiser has been hosted at the homes of gracious hosts and a variety of Hill Country venues.
Generous local businesses and individuals donate marvelous items for a Silent Auction, as well. This event would not be possible without our many community sponsors who demonstrate their support of our community library.
February 23, 2020, we enjoyed hearing from local author, Ben Rehder. He entertained the crowd with stories from his well-known Blanco County mysteries and discussed his writing process.
Previous years have featured authors and musicians such as Nathan Brown and Larry D. Johnson, former Poet Laureates of Oklahoma and Texas, respectively, singer/songwriter Kasey Landsdale, and Susan Wittig Albert – among others.
The Friends are already planning the 10th Annual Pouring Over Books for 2021. Our partnership with local businesses is essential to our fundraising and we encourage you to plan ahead to help sponsor this event.
We are excited to return to the event space at the Prospect House here in Dripping Springs and we’ll keep you informed as planning continues.
