Each year has been more fun and raised more money for the library!
On Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., the Friends will host the 14th Annual Pouring Over Books fundraiser.
The generous local venue, The Prospect House, is donating the use of their impressive venue. Please consider them for your special occasion.
This event is our biggest fundraiser and will include a discussion and book signing with acclaimed Texas author Lynda Rutledge.
Attendees will enjoy live music, and a choice of wines, craft beers, or fine teas accompanied by tasty bites. All items in our exciting online auction will be present at the event for final bids and awarding to the winner.
How We Help
A new record amount of $20,000 was donated in 2024 for library equipment, programs, and services.
13,000 Active library patrons use our local Dripping Springs Community Library to access library equipment, programs, and services, early learning software, summer programs, musical concerts, an expanded eReader program, a Maker’s Space, and so much more.
In 2024, some of the Friends donated money was spent on:
- $13,000 for Summer Programming and Prizes
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- 3D Printer ( now offering 3D printing services to patrons)
- ‘Stay Sharp Kits’ that promote adult memory and cognition skills
- Master Gardeners Healthy Outdoor Communities Initiative (to fix up the beds in front of the library)
- Thinkery Passes (free admission for patrons to Austin’s most popular children’s museum)
