Coming March 1, 2026: 15th Annual Pouring Over Books!!
Each year has been more fun and raised more money for the library!
On Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m., the Friends will host the 15th Annual Pouring Over Books fundraiser at the Prospect House.
This event is our biggest library fundraiser and includes an interactive discussion and book signing with acclaimed Texas author Elizabeth Crook. Her latest book, The Madstone, is a rollicking tale spun across the backdrop of the Texas hill country in the late 1800s. A must read!
Attendees will be serenaded by live music, and offered a choice of wines or fine teas accompanied by tasty bites. All items in our exciting online auction will be present at the event for final bids and awarded to the winners.
How We Help
A new record amount of $30,000 was donated in 2025 for library equipment, programs, and services.
14,000 Active library patrons use our local Dripping Springs Community Library to access library equipment, programs, and services, early learning software, summer programs, musical concerts, an expanded eReader program, a Maker’s Space, and so much more.
In 2025, some of the Friends donated money was spent on:
- $13,000 for Summer Programming including the purchase of 10 ukuleles, Professor of Universe, Wildlife on the Move, and more…
- Viewsonic large screen teleconferencing system
- Podcasting equipment for library patrons to checkout
- Summer Reading and 1000 Books Before Kindergarten prizes
- Community Wildflower Center passes for patrons
- Upgrade outdoor play space with new chairs and sensory tables.
