John is a retired CPA. His interests include jazz piano, photography, native plants and writing poetry. He originally became involved with the Friends in early 2011 as newsletter editor, thinking this would provide an opportunity to sneak in an occasional poem. Little did he know . .

Vice President

Peter brings a new presence and fresh ideas to the mix as our Vice President. His long career in the nonprofit field provides insight and stability.  He also heads our Nominations Committee, so if you or someone you can recommend is interested in volunteering, he’s your man.

Bill O'Donnell

Treasurer

Bill is a retired electrical engineer.  He has an MBA and degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering.  He has been directly responsible for budgetary management of $10 million projects.  Bill’s business background brings an important focus to our deliberations.

Alyssa Weinstein

Secretary

Alyssa is a graduate of Dripping Springs High School, now attending Texas State University in San Marcos, majoring in journalism.  She also works as a reporter for the Dripping Springs Century News and the (Tx State) University Star.

Teresa’s background and interests are in multi-lingual communication and cultural diversity.  She also possesses remarkable social media technical skills which have propelled the Friends headlong into new areas of engagement.

Laurie O'Donnell

Laurie’s earned her Bachelor and Masters degrees in Education from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. She retired and moved to Dripping Springs after a successful career with the Dickinson Independent School District – south of Houston.
Chloe Price

Board Member at Large

Chloe is a multi-faceted business person in addition to raising a family. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University. She has generously offered her skills with social media to enhance the Friends’ ability to utilize these same platforms. Her vitality and perspective as a youthful homemaker bring an important dimension to the Board’s work.

Martha Brown

Board Member at Large

Martha, originally from Mobile, Alabama, is a long-time resident of the area and has worked at Premier Family Physicians for much of that time.  She has served with distinction on the Dripping Springs Planning Commission and brings a solid understanding of the local community’s history and people to the Board.

Marcia Atilano

Marcia Atilano

Library Director

Marcia is integral to the close working relationship between the Friends and the Library.  She provides insight as to where the Friends can most effectively provide much-needed resources to further the library’s varied programs.  She is a valuable resource to the Board and a welcome participant in our ongoing deliberations.
